Goals of this project was to make computer case that would be:
- Quiet
- Good looking
- Lots of drive bays
- Easy to update
Good
- Good looking.
- Silent, allthough now I was building this case now I would make
ventilation shafts
in bottom and top to make it even more silent (I think).
- Enough drive bays.
Bad
- Inside is a real mess. It is not easy to update (adding peripherals etc.), so one goal was not achieved.

System:
- Motherboard: Asus A7V133
- Processor: AMD Athlon 1400 MHz
- Hardrives: 15GB & 30GB IBM
- Operating System: Linux
- Other things: Enermax power supply, Hollywood+, Firewire, SB Live, DVD, CD Burner (Lightning fast 2x :-)
And there was enough room for printer and cable modem at the top.

Measuring things. Walls are made from plywood.

Cutting some wood.

Gluing things together.

Fitting drive bays. There is room for nine 5½ inch devices (one is reserved
for floppy drive). Metal cases taken from old computers.

Covers for free drive bays on top of the walls.

Using some color to make it look like my desk.

Rubber buttons to the bottom.

Case without walls nor the sound insulation.

Attaching drive bays.

Place for power supply. Power supply has fan at the bottom which sucks air directly from the
processor and blows it out from the back.

Cutting sound insulation plates and fitting them to the case.

Moving hardware from "The Cube" to the wooden case. Carbon box was playing role of
the computer case while I was building the wooden one.

Place for motherboard was also stolen from the old computer case.

Hey it's working!! Testing things without the walls.

Looks messy...

Installation drink. Finnish beer made by
Olvi.

Reset and power buttons made from wood too.

Buttons in removable front panel.

Door can be locked. I have three year old son...

Air goes in from the bottom tube (No fan).
Middle tube is for Power supply.
And the tube at top is for extra fan which is controlled by fanbus.
Cables come out from separate holes.
This case changed a lot after these drawings were made, but some of you
have requested these, so here their are.
